WHERE DO I BEGIN?
So you want to write a story? Yay! Yippee! Wahoo! That's great news. And easy to do! You just need a few ingredients–like characters and a problem–and then you sit down, shake them up, and get writing.
You may want to start with a writing prompt to get those creative juices flowing. Press on the red button to the right for a library of prompts to inspire you.
The mysterious beakers on the main StoryLab page will take you to a treasure trove of writing exercises on Character, Plotting, and Setting.
For advanced writers, you can experiment with more combustible ingredients to make your Beginnings, Middles, and Ends as volatile as you dare.
All experiments need testing! Check out the Revisions page for ways to make your stories safe for consumption.
