THE BUILDING BLOCKS

Our youngest authors can use this Worksheet to begin their quest with the building blocks of plot–the beginning, the middle, and the end of their story.

STORY MOUNTAIN

You probably wouldn't set out on a vacation without knowing where you were going, right?  In the same way, you should know where your story is going and how you are going to get there before you begin writing.

Does that mean you need to know every little thing that will happen along the way?  Certainly not!  But it is helpful to know the big plot points of your story.  You can start planning your exciting journey on the Story Mountain Worksheet.

THE PLOT THICKENS

Remember those jagged edges on story mountain–the OBSTACLES? In the Plot Thickens Worksheet, you will invent the problems/obstacles that will make life harder for your character–and much more exciting for your reader.
